Feelings.
Our genuine feelings are the antidote to this season of joyous insanity that is about to try and gobble us all up.
If we embrace our feelings, and listen to their leading, we will be brought into peaceful congruence with our centre and our core. Alternatively, if we succumb to the Pressure-to-Yield-to-All-the Insanity-of-the-Season, we will be pushed and driven towards actions that sap us of our energy.
This quotation from eecummings is an old favourite of mine. I think it speaks so perfectly to the dilemma we find ourselves in these weeks leading up to Christmas. We have a choice. Will we be driven to be obedient to the "syntax of things", and rules and guidelines? Or will we prioritise our feelings and instincts, and be one who "truly kisses" and embraces what Life has to offer?
What will we choose?
Will we choose to be motivated by syntax and the rules? Or will we be motivated by our inner compass and our feelings?
To "wholly kiss" Life may well be the reward!
(If you're not familiar with eecummings' poem, I've included it below.)
