Here's an interesting spin on 13 Reasons Why.
The Mental Health Foundation of NZ is saying not to ban it.
I must say, I'm not 100% sure about their advice. In our home, I'm strongly discouraging my own young ones to avoid it.
However, I am also an absolutely strong advocate for supporting our young ones with clear and honest answers to their questions.
So, I guess I'm saying, as with most of our parenting decisions, it's our own instincts that provide us with the best guidance for what's right for our own family.
Nevertheless, the unavoidable truth of the techno-easy-savvy world that most of our young ones exist in means that with our approval or without it, many of those we care about will be seeing this series.
Right now.
Or in the next short while.
Or they'll hear things about it. From the kumara vine.

Let's be ready. With some sturdy, robust answers that might openly address their fears, insecurities and concerns.
