Local shout out.
I'm loving the commitment to Community Health and Wellbeing that local cafe, Cafe Cezanne in Ponsonby Road, is promoting by positioning this poster in a key visible spot in the unisex bathroom.
One in four of all women in New Zealand and Australia will experience domestic violence at some time in our lives.
Men are also experiencing violence since one in three of all victims of domestic violence are male.
So, it seems to me that all of us need to care for each other.
All of us need to watch each other's back. And all of us need to raise awareness in the ways we are able to.
So! Yay for Cafe Cezanne!
Sometimes all we can do is plaster a poster up.
And sometimes that's more than enough.
