Secrecy.
Sometimes our lives are so complicated and full of difficult realities that we build layers of secrecy around ourselves.
We all make decisions, all the time, about who we trust with our Life. That's right and healthy. Not everyone in our Life needs to know everything about us.
It's also true that some people in our Life need to know our deeper parts. Sometimes we share ourselves around a range of different people who draw different parts of our Self out.
And that's right and healthy too.
What's not right or healthy is finding that we are unable to share at all. This is a sign that our lives contain toxicity. Secrecy and the inability to share are signs that we really must reach out.
The secrets that we initially keep to protect our Self will eventually harm us.
Do reach out. Do break the bonds of secrecy. Do find someone to welcome into our dark places.
