Eye contact.
Looking deeply into someone's eyes.
It's often associated with falling in love. And what an intoxicating time it can be. Gazing deeply into the eyes of the one you simply can't get enough of.
However, it's also an overlooked part of building and maintaining intimacy and connection with all the people we value in our lives.
Sadly, our lives can be so full of Busy that we can spend hours and hours around people, and yet not really have looked at them. In a busy family weekend, for example, how easy it is to be alongside family members, bustling round in the kitchen, in the laundry, in the car, and yet not really have properly looked at them.
I invite you to notice your own regular style of looking at those you are close to.
Just notice.
And see what noticing brings around.
