I'm feeling for the clients, and counsellors, of Relationship NZ. They've been caught out by politics and economics, and I'm expecting that many of them will be feeling betrayed and abandoned.
Building a counselling relationship takes time and energy. When healthy growth has occurred for the client, they will work towards ending the contact with their counsellor, and that's a positive and wonderful end to the counselling relationship. However, these Relationship NZ clients have been forced to end their counselling, and many of them will have ongoing, as yet unresolved, needs.
For many clients, starting with a new counsellor is upsetting and takes energy that they don't really have. To ease anyone in this situation through the difficult patch they've been thrown into, I'd like to offer two free sessions to any clients who have been impacted by the closure of Relationship NZ.
I am available for face to face counselling in Highland Park, Auckland. I am also available for counselling via phone, Skype and email.
Feel free to share this message around.
